Staff and Staffing Arrangements

The Toy Box Nursery is owned and managed by Hilary, who, amongst her other qualifications, holds a Distinction level BTech certificate in Early Years Childcare.
Hilary is a qualified Nursery Nurse and has wide experience in nursery environments, as well as in senior school education and special needs provision.

Our Staff
The team of staff at the nursery are qualified Nursery Nurses, backed up by suitably experienced assistants. All are able to give each child individual care and attention. Each child has an allocated Key Worker, who will be able to liaise with parents, and provide detailed information on that child’s development and accomplishments. Parents are encouraged to interact with nursery staff and build a relationship with the people entrusted with the daily care of their child. Members of the senior nursery staff are always available for consultation with parents.

Travelling Ted And finally we would like to introduce you to the longest serving member of the Staff Team. His name is Travelling Ted and his role in the nursery is to accompany children on their family outings and holidays, and to record his adventures, with pictures, in a special book that is kept at the Toy Box and is available for everybody to read. Any child wishing to take Ted with them is welcome to do so and you just need to ask a member of our staff team to get Ted ready for another adventure.
