1. Who looks after your Chidren? It is important you understand that your child is well taken care of so with this in mind you’ll find a higher ratio of qualified carers than is required by regulations to ensure your child gets the individual and group care they need … and with members of the team having been in child care for many years, most with a level 3 child care qualification, you can be safe in the knowledge you child is safe, happy and growing in a warm caring environment.

2. Staff Training. Our belief is - you get out what you put in and on going training and development for the team is vital and a major priority for us as owners… a majority of the team hold paediatric first aid certificates, with more planned, plus on going NVQ training … knowing your child is in the right hands, the safest hands adds to your sense of security and contentment to place your child with us.

3. Fun Activities. There is always something going on at the Nursery to involve you and the community in your child’s learning, from fundraisers, to trips to the local parks, from teddy bears picnics to visits from zoo farm animals, your child will discover a world of fun and fascination with a positive impact on their learning and development to inspire their young minds. We also love to celebrate. So parties are the order of the day whenever there is a Special Occasion in the Nursery, and we like to invite Parents along to join in or help out wherever possible.

4. Communication with Parents. Your reassurance is vital … happy parents equal happy children so your questions and comments are always welcome throughout the year plus you are invited twice a year to talk with the team and gain feedback on your child’s progress and development … plus for your added peace of mind and security you will notice a CCTV monitoring system.  This system allows you to monitor your child via a remote TV system … you’ll be able to watch you child at play giving you the added confidence that your child is in the best care possible.

5. Safety First. Your child’s safety is our number one priority and you’ll probably not find a nursery locally that has gone to such measures as The Toy Box.  We ensure that our Nursery provides a safe environment for all, Children, Parents, and the Staff Team, and we work closely with all major government agencies to ensure that all safety procedures and practices are adhered to throughout .  The team receive regular training and updates on Health and Safety issues there is always  a Health and Safety Co-ordinator on site who is responsible for all issues within the Nursery.

6. Healthy Diet, Healthy Living. With nutrition being of high importance, we pride ourselves on having achieved the Heartbeat Award for good provision…We give a balanced diet with all meals cooked on the premises with lots of fresh ingredients, believing this gives your child the best nourishment for their growing needs. With exercise being equally important, the gardens surrounding The Toy Box are used at every available opportunity … fresh air, good exercise and good food, the best start in life.
